Self-adhesive labels, also known as stickers, are made of paper, film or other special materials, with adhesive on the back and silicon protective paper as the backing.
Transparent bottles are usually filled with transparent or colored liquids, such as cosmetics, daily chemical products, wine, champagne and other products.
Sometimes, labels of transparent film type self-adhesive materials are pasted on such products to increase the decoration effect of goods. The material of transparent bottle is generally hard glass or plastic that can be extruded and deformed. When pasting transparent film labels on such products, the most common phenomenon is that there are bubbles on the surface after the labels are pasted. There are many reasons for bubbles, mainly including:
a. Cleanliness and flatness of the bottle surface. Is the bottle body a regular surface or a sphere.
b. Is the bottle material hard or soft.
c. Whether the characteristics of the selected film materials match the bottle body.
d. Whether the selection of labeling machine is appropriate, and whether the speed adjustment and labeling method are correct.
To avoid bubbles after labeling, the following measures shall be taken during labeling:
1. The bottle body shall be cleaned and dried in advance.
2. The bottle body shall be clamped and fixed by the conveyor belt when labeling, especially the plastic bottle with flat shape.
3. The base paper with good smoothness, such as the material of PET base paper, shall be selected to make the adhesive smooth on its surface and have good wettability and flatness after labeling.
4. Soft bottle body shall be made of soft materials, such as PE, PVC, unstretched PP, and synthetic materials of PE/PP. The hard bottle body can be made of PET, BOPP and PS fabrics.
5. The static electricity of labels shall be completely eliminated before labeling to make the labels firm and free from the backing paper.
6. The labeling machine shall not use a brush, sponge upper, vacuum adsorption and other methods to label, but shall be equipped with a rubber scraper with a certain strength to contact the label and keep the scraper at a certain angle and strength.
7. When labeling, the operation speed of the bottle body should be slightly faster than that of the label, so as to avoid bubbles.
8. For labeling of soft bottles, the relationship between labeling speed, scraper force, angle and distance should be adjusted.
