With a fully loaded container ship docked at Ruichang Port area of Jiujiang Port to unload, marking the official opening of container business in Ruichang Port area of Jiujiang Port.
At the operation site, port operators operate huge bridge cranes to smoothly and orderly unload containers from the ship, and transfer them to the feeder trucks for transport to the storage yard.
It is understood that the cargo ship was carrying 50 heavy cargo containers from Malaysia (Jiujiang has been cleared).
Zhu Jinsheng, head of Ruichang Yanjiang Development and Construction Investment Co., LTD., said: “The ship came from Chengxi Port, and 50 heavy boxes of goods from Rational Paper marked the opening of our container business.
In the next step, we will speed up the construction under the guidance of Jiujiang Customs and strive to officially launch the import and export container business at an early date.”
A few days ago, Jiujiang Port expanded the opening of Ruichang port area through the national acceptance.
In the future, with the support of joint inspection units such as customs, maritime and border inspection, the nearby loading and unloading of import and export goods will be realized, effectively reducing logistics costs, which is of great significance for Ruichang to actively integrate into the domestic and international double cycle and create a new highland of inland open economic pilot zone.
Hong Fangzhi, logistics manager of Jiangxi Liwen Paper Co., LTD., said:
“After the opening of Ruichang Port terminal, the freight cost has been reduced from the original 600 yuan/box to the current 100 yuan/box, and the time has been reduced from the original 6 hours to 10 minutes, which has played a certain role in the company’s external development.”
